Key to the City — James Godsey (Briefing Session)
During the 5:30 p.m. Briefing Session, the Council presented a Key to the City to James Godsey, a young resident diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML). James specifically requested the honor in reference to his favorite superhero, Batman. His sister Kate — his only sibling — was found to be a 100% bone marrow match (despite a 25% statistical probability) and donated bone marrow after his last round of chemotherapy. Going forward, James will carry Kate's blood type. The City also provided "swag bags" for both James and Kate. Mayor Dahle expressed the Council's support and prayers for James.

Employee Recognition Award — Stephanie Carlson
City Recorder Stephanie Carlson was honored for 25 years of service with the City of Holladay, which itself was incorporated 25 years ago. City Manager Gina Chamness praised Ms. Carlson as indispensable, a dedicated problem-solver, and the institutional memory of the City. Mayor Dahle noted she has served under every Mayor and every City Council in Holladay's history.
