(3930 S 3030 E) — Raised two concerns: (1) Safety hazard from large fireworks discharged in a residential cul-de-sac on a windy night, resulting in over 200 pieces of fireworks debris on his property; urged the City to prohibit such activity. (2) Significant water rate disparity — his July water bill through Salt Lake City Public Utilities was $386, compared to approximately $123 (Holliday Water Company) and $116 (Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District) for equivalent service. Sharrow had written to Laura Briefer at Salt Lake City Public Utilities regarding this issue.

Richard Turner
(3955 S 3030 E) — Supported fireworks safety concerns; referenced a conversation with UFA Fire Marshal Wade Watkins. Noted that a recent Millcreek apartment fire was caused by a lawnmower striking a rock, not fireworks, but argued this reinforces the danger of allowing spark-producing fireworks in residential areas.
